Thanks, Jon. Alas, this does not work for me. Does your .notmuch-config
contain something the following:

  [database]
  path=/full/path/to/your/Maildir

and is your Notmuch DB directory /full/path/to/your/Maildir/.notmuch ,
i.e. nested inside your Maildir folder?
