The Notmuch tree view interface in Emacs has stopped working for me. The
*Notmuch errors* buffer reports the following when I try Z or z (notmuch
tree view search):

Unrecognized option: --sort=newest-first
command: notmuch show --body\=false --format\=sexp --format-version\=4 --sort\=newest-first --entire-thread thread\:000000000000bc32\ and\ \(tag\:/\^list/\ and\ tag\:unread\ and\ date\:1M..\)
exit status: 1
stderr:
Unrecognized option: --sort=newest-first

I checked the man page for notmuch-show and there doesn't appear to be a
--sort option. I'm not sure if I'm missing something.

My notmuch version (from my distro repo) is 0.32.2, and my notmuch-emacs
version (from the MELPA repo for Emacs) is 20210805.1158.

Any idea what's going wrong?
