Very cool. Not wanting to promote my own things, but is there a reason
you use the notmuch binary and parse that output rather than using the
python bindings that come included with notmuch?

The docs are quite extensive and with the exception that "cnotmuch" is
not called "notmuch" still kind of current:
http://packages.python.org/cnotmuch/

It should be possible to query a database with only a few lines of
python.

Anyway, however you do it. Cool, I'll check it out.
